Hindu Institution, located in New Delhi, India, is a constituent college of the University of Delhi. It is one of India’s oldest arts and sciences, having been founded in 1899. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the sciences, humanities, social sciences, and business administration. The Ministry of Human Resource Development’s National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) has placed third nationwide in 2020. (Government of India). The Ministry of Science and Technology has designated its Department of Biotechnology as a “Star College” (Government of India). Many noteworthy alumni have graduated from the institution. Despite its name, Hindu College accepts students of all religious backgrounds.

The campus of the college is 25 acres in size. It houses an auditorium, a lecture room, a playground, and a sports complex. Basketball, cricket, and table tennis are all conducted under the head of athletic education’s direction. Biology and engineering laboratories, NCC and NSS rooms, a multimedia room, a photocopier, and a material shop are all available at the institution. A bank and a canteen are available at a Students’ Centre. The Hindu College library is one of the University of Delhi’s oldest college libraries. It was founded in 1899, at the same time as the college. Students and instructors can also consult the library’s collection of books.

The Hindu College boy’s hostel is located near to the college’s sports facility. It consists of 119 rooms surrounded by four lawns with rose gardens and bushes (charbagh style). Around 200 undergraduate and postgraduate male students are housed in the dormitory. Apart from newspapers and periodicals, a common area provides residents with leisure activities such as carrom, chess, and a separate TV room. Because of the hostel’s restricted capacity, only the most deserving college students are admitted. The institution offers a female hostel that has been operational since 2017, with a capacity of 190 students.
