Hansraj, a top school with highly trained academicians giving instruction in many subjects, is one of the major constituent colleges of the University of Delhi. The College presently boasts a reputation for great performance in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. The D.A.V. College Managing Committee established the college on July 26, 1948, in honour of Mahatma Hansraj, a pioneer in the area of education. It is now one of the most prominent members of the D.A.V. family of over 700 institutions, as well as one of Delhi University’s major constituent colleges. It has around 5000 students on its rolls who connect with a diverse group of professors. The College has been in the business of providing higher education for 67 years. It has made a substantial and unprecedented contribution to society in terms of generating countless dignitaries, researchers, thinkers, and athletes who have served in various capacities not only in our own country but also on a global scale.

The College has amassed an amazing infrastructure throughout the years. It has a well-stocked Central Library, Science Department libraries, and a Book Bank for needy students. Six computer labs and 18 science labs are available at the college. The College includes an ultra-modern air-conditioned Auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 people and an imposing stage, as well as the newest sound and light equipment. Another highlight is the air-conditioned Seminar Room, which seats 120 people and is equipped with cutting-edge sound and projection technology.
